My Camera Conked in Italy

I was using my DSLR and started my journey in Italy from Rome. So did my photography. I took some shots in Rome followed by some shots in Florence. These select few shots are in the website.   Somehow on the second day in Florence my camera conked off.   I was trying to take a shot of famous Duomo in Florence.  I focussed and tried to click but was unable to get the shot inspite of repeated press on the shutter click button.   I got the message ” Error. Press the shutter release button again ” .   This was a repeated message. Unaware of the problem ,   I showed the camera to few shops in Florence and then to few in Venice.   Everybody was not able to rectify the problem and all advised me to take the camera to an authorized Service Centre.   I called back home and from people in my group , few instructions were passed on which had already been tried in Italy.    I removed the battery, the lens, the memory card. I pressed the hardware reset button manually.     I reset the custom settings. An additional battery and additional lens lying with me had also been tried.    I also tried to press the mirror in the body after removing the lens.   I tried every possible permutation & combination, but to no avail and the same message remained there.    All shots thereafter in Florence , Venice and Milan were taken in my Blackberry.  Believe me even with the Blackberry few exceptional shots got clicked.   After those few shots ,   I felt sorry about my DSLR but did not regret as my Blackberry came handy.   These few shots are also in my website and hope you would cherish those moments.   Have a great weekend.    God Bless!!
